If you want to get into sailing or improve your skills then both Chris and Jo are qualified Royal Yachting association instructors. We offer a variety of courses to suit various needs.


Introduction to Sailing Monohulls:
This one hour lesson is given in the Laser Pico. You will be taught the basics of sailing. Tacking, gybing, steering, sail trim, and a capsize drill.  At the end of the lesson, you should be competent to sail the boat on your own.
Cost $66.00 US
Max 1 person plus instructor.

Introduction to Sailing Catamarans:
This one hour lesson is given in a Hobie Wave. You will learn how to tack and gybe this easy to sail catamaran. The instructor will take you through the basics and will then give the tillers to you. You will also be taken through a capsize drill. After an hour you should be competent to sail the boat on your own.
Cost $66.00 US
Max 2 persons plus instructor.

Beginner Course:
This 5 hour course covers rigging, sailing techniques, capsize drill, sail trim. It involves sailing in a variety of boats. At the end of the course you will be a confident and competent Sailor with a good all round knowledge of the basics of sailing.
Cost $265.00 Private - $200.00 per person for a group maximum 3 persons.

Advanced Techniques:
Using a spinnaker
Using a trapeze
Using the Hobie Getaway
All lessons are $65.00 US per hour

The reef located 2/3 mile offshore creates a flatwater paradise for sailors. As the local saying goes “there's always a breeze in Belize” so you can nearly always get out and sail. On average our most consistently windy time is February through June with 12–20 knots most days.

2 x 14ft Hobie Waves – perfect for learning and racing. Easy to sail 1 x Laser Pico- for the monohull sailor and the beginner. Easy to sail 1 x 17ft Hobie Getaway – fast and fun. For the more experienced sailor 1 x 19ft Lightning Day Sailer- Great day sailing boat.
